We would like to invite you to attend a most inspiring evening on Tuesday, 1st July, 5.00pm, at the House of Commons, Committee Room 14. At this event we will present the Youth Achievement Awards to mostly young adults of various backgrounds, and hear them explain their activities. Awardees include Jermain Jackman, the winner of The Voice 2014.
He feels very passionate about both music and politics. He would like to get more young people involved in politics. Before 'The Voice' he also gave singing lessons every Friday for children with disabilities, through a charity called Amberliegh.
Other Youth Achievement Award winners, for example, have been involved in the Youth Parliament, a Heart Research charity and challenging gang related trouble in their local neighbourhood. All have overcome obstacles to do great activities and be inspiring examples to us all.
Pauline Long will be receiving an Ambassador for Peace award during the programme. She is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, fashion designer, motivational speaker, music video director with over 25 awards. Founder of Europe’s biggest award for black and ethnic personalities in entertainment, film, fashion, television and arts- BEFFTA. Named African woman of the year in UK and listed in Black Women in Europe Power List. She’s a TV presenter on The Pauline Long Show SKY 182. She has also nominated two of the Youth Achievement Awardees.
If you are interested please come and join the Universal Peace Federation in the Youth Achievement Awards 2014, "Celebrating Future Leaders". It is always an inspiring experience.
