On this day we were happy that many guests found their way to our event, in spite of the very cold and rainy weather. Besides brothers and sisters there were about 40 guests, namely Peace Ambassadors, Ambassador for Peace candidates and others. One of the highlights of the afternoon was the video on the Global Peace Festival, including a part of Hyun Jin Nim's speech. This was inspiring for everyone who could not manage to come to the GPF, as much for those who attended.
We had three talks by our Peace Ambassadors; Mrs Saleha Jaffer explained about the Muslim Eid Celebration, Mr Dindayal about the Hindu Divali Celebrations and Father Abiola shared about the Christian tradition of Christmas.
We had great musical performances by our brothers Russell Gough and Bernard Chellew, who were joined at some point by Mr. Dindayal. Of course, also the second generation contributed musically in an impressive way.
Four nominees were awarded their Ambassador for Peace certificate. Two of them were African dancers and took the chance to impress all of us greatly with some dances dressed up in their traditional costumes.
In the end we shared a wonderful meal, and everyone enjoyed a great family atmosphere. God was really greatly at work on that day!
