Last night was an introduction to Universal Peace Federation (UPF) meeting at the London UPF HQ. After explaining UPF international activities by video and the UK activities by powerpoint we could share some of the underlying peace principles that guide UPF's vision of one family of humanity under a loving God. One person shared after that she felt this is where she was supposed to be. She had found a home of people of similar ideals. Justina Mutale shared about her partnership with UPF in different activities. 'UPF has provided a platform for me to promote the issues and campaigns that I feel most deeply about.' She continued to explain that there are many areas about which UPF and her own organisations have a common concern.
Another guest shared that feels a sense of belonging in UPF. She explained that she had felt this for a long time but had had a period of bad health but now she would like to get involved more.
Prof Ian Hall shared about his long history with UPF and formerly with Inter-religious and International Federation for World Peace for which he had been a President of the UK branch.
Prof Chand Bharadwaj, an Ambassador for Peace from India who is visiting the UK, introduced himself and his philosophical approach
One of the audience admitted that, 'I feel so full of inspiration from the meeting I do not what say.'
