UPF's Africa Day celebration was an inspiring, passionate, colourful day with a contrast of speeches highlighting injustice, cultural dancing and singing. It was a programme with many Africans who had expertise or concern about a region of the African continent. Refugees from Eritrea, Egyptian rap about youth poverty in the land of the Pharoahs, poorly performing hydro-electric dams in DRC, to mentoring the future potential leadership across Africa: it was an eclectic mix.
London, United Kingdom—International Women’s Day 2019 was marked by UPF with a program in the House of Lords. Women and men had come from all over the country to be a part of the evening program on March 25.
World Interfaith Harmony Week (WIHW) 2019 was celebrated by Universal Peace Federation UK on February 6th in two sessions. The first, in the afternoon, was convened in partnership with other groups in Parliament. The second session was held at the Lancaster Gate HQ in a programme entitled 'Prayers and Words to Create Harmony'.
The Family Festival on November 10th 2018 was a gathering of different Family Federation communities, WFWP and UPF. It sought to educate, promote and celebrate families and the personal stories they share together.
Universal Peace Federation (UPF), in its first event of 2019, joined with a number of activists, campaigners and advocates for humanitarian causes to consider the development of mutual networks. The aim of this meeting was to bring peace partners together with the hope of future collaboration on common issues to promote community cohesion and consider methods of conflict resolution.
