The Universal Peace Federation (UPF) in cooperation with the Women’s Federation for World Peace and the Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS) Vienna are convening a European Leadership Conference entitled, “Europe and Russia – Partners in a Globalised World” on Friday October 12th and Saturday 13th 2012. (Report on previous Europe and Russia conference here)

The conference is part of a series of European Leadership Conferences on issues of pressing concern for Europe and the world, held at the United Nations in Geneva and Vienna, UNESCO in Paris, National Parliaments in the United Kingdom and Norway, and in the Presidential Palace in Malta. Participants from all over Europe have gathered and there is a delegation of politicians, academics, NGO and youth representatives from Russia and former Soviet Union nations. This follows the kind invitation to Moscow in April of this year for a conference entitled, “Russia-Europe Dialogue - Peace and Security in Multicultural Societies at a Time of Global Crisis”.
