Youth UPF

Youth UPF encourages, sponsors and organises many types of events as well as focussing on leadership training for global citizenship.

Matteo Bergamini - Political Literacy

With partners Shout Out UK and Road Works Media, Youth UPF participated in a workshop to promote political literacy among young adults and teenagers during Parliament Week. Both Shout Out UK and Universal Peace Federation (UPF) - UK are partners of Parliament Week. Matteo Bergamini, founder of Shout Out UK, in photo launching the event. Quince Garcia and Julian Bernard Grau ran different sections of the workshop following a talk by Guardian Journalist,  Erica Buist.

Youth Achievement Awards 2015

The Youth Achievement Awardees testimonies were again so inspiring and refreshing that those who may have wanted to leave could not pull themselves away. Held in Committee Room 10 of the House of Commons on July 8th, the award programme was hosted by Mr Virendra Sharma MP's office and kindly supported throughout by Lord Nazir Ahmed of Rotherham.

Matteo Bergamini of Shout Out UK

“Up until when I turned 18 a few months ago, I was never interested in politics. Suddenly, I thought now that I can vote whom do I vote for? I must be informed. This type of event will help us (young people) to be informed and hopefully, more involved too”

On the 14th of October 2014, around 100 young people and political figures gathered in the House of Commons to discuss youth engagement in politics. Speakers included; Matteo Bergamini of Shout Out UK, Gisela Stuart MP, Rt Hon. Tom Brake, Naiha Masih, John Loughton of Dare 2 Lead, and Amira El-Houderi of Young Leaders and Youth UPF. However, due to the fantastic quality of the speakers and the points that they raised, much of the event was transformed into a discussion and exchange of ideas across the room.
